David Z’s Bio

David is 29 and lives in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan — an area not renowned for its snowfall, which contributes to his suffering of Seasonal Affective Disorder during the winter months when it is prone to being 66 degrees, or 39 and pouring rain, or -10. During the winter months, he snowboards at local dirt piles “mountains” after work and on weekends, in addition to making trips to Northern Michigan where the dirt piles are slightly larger, and the snowfall is marginally more. He is the mastermind behind a[GNAR]chy, as well as the co-ordinator of the annual Gnargasm expedition, which takes place in January or February.

In the summer, he goes for the occasional mountain-bike ride in one of several local parks, or kayaking on local rivers when there is enough rainfall to create a current. He is always looking for something awesome to do.

David’s interests include the aforementioned activities, all major sports (including the NHL) but especially Tigers baseball and college football, political economy, anarchism, planning vacations, angry punk rock, single malt Scotch Whisky, and fine beers from around the world, particularly Ales and Stouts.
